Sundays are usually everyone’s day off, but for actresses like Bela Padilla, they rarely are. In her case recently, though, she was able to make the most of this rare day off.
Padilla shared the highlights of her latest Sunday day off in an Instagram post yesterday, Nov. 22. She lounged on a couch with a book on her lap, with a small bottle of almond milk handy, and cats lying around in her backyard.
“The days off were so rare, sometimes only once a month. So I’d cram everything into those rare days, hoping I’d get a sense of being human by doing everything a person should do in a week, in one day,” she said.
Padilla revealed that with her day off, she was able to finally finish writing something that she’s been “purging out of [her] system for two years.” She is also happy about being able to read again.
“[Bestsellers], books no one’s heard of, war stories, current and [thought] provoking stories, love stories with 1940s backdrops and recommendations just like this one that turn out to be heart warming and easy to read,” she said.

Padilla spoke about her favorite spot in the house as well as some of her favorite things there, such as her vinyl records and plants.
“And just outside my window, a cat who surely has lived on this block longer than I have, approves of my garden and hangs out with her kittens quietly. Co existing with me,” she said.
She also shared how she could hear birds from where she was, adding to the tranquil vibe of her day off.
“If they could read this they’d probably note that none of my thoughts are connected. That’s ok though, they make me so centered. I am right here, right now,” said the actress. “I seem to have more random musings on Sundays. I probably live and love life more, on Sundays.” JB
