Perhaps wanting to start the New Year with a clean slate, BB Gandanghari has apologized to three persons she says she has hurt the most — actor Robin Padilla, entertainment broadcaster Cristy Fermin and talent manager Lolit Solis.
She expressed her apologies in her latest vlog in YouTube, released on Dec. 31, 2020, where she is shown talking to former actress Princess Punzalan via Zoom.
Gandanghari felt that she should first say sorry to her brother Padilla whom she admitted she has hurt in the past. She was referring to the issue when she ranted against Padilla for not reaching out to her, when rumors spread that she was allegedly already dead in the United States.
“Alam ko may mga nasabi ako na puwedeng hangang ngayon, pwedeng nakasakit sa pamilya niya. Alam ko nakasakit sa pamilya niya, nakasakit sa kaniya, nakasakit sa asawa niya. Pinagsisisihan ko lahat ‘yun. I shouldn’t have said anything. Kung puwede ko lang burahin kasi I think it’s really unfair,” she said.
(I know that I have said some things which until now may still be causing his family pain. I know it has hurt his family, it has hurt him, it has hurt his wife. I am sorry for all of that. I shouldn’t have said anything. If only I can erase all of that, because I think it’s really unfair.)
Gandanghari likewise addressed issues concerning Solis and Fermin, after they reacted on his revelation that he had a relationship with an actor.
“May mga panahon din na naging mainit ‘yung palitan kay tita Lolit at saka kay Cristy Fermin. Gusto ko lang silang banggitin ngayon,” she said. (There was a time that the exchanges with Solis and Fermin were heated. I just want to mention those now.)
“I must admit I was really quick to react at that time. I was very defensive of what I was hearing or reading,” she explained. “Hindi talaga ako nagbasa kung ano ‘yung nangyayari, react lang ako nang react.”
(I really did not read about what was happening. I was just reacting and reacting.)
“Humihingi ako ng tawad kay tita Lolit kasi hindi ko dapat sinabi ‘yung mga bagay na nasabi ko against her,” Gandanghari said.
(I am asking for forgiveness from tita Lolit because I should not have said the things I said against her.)
“She doesn’t deserve it. Nakalimutan ko ang respeto (I forgot about respect). I’m really sorry,” she added. “The same goes [for] tita Cristy. Nakalimutan ko ‘yung trabaho nila (I forgot their work). I should have respected that.”
Gandanghari, already based in the United States, appeared in Netflix’s comedy series “Glow” in 2019. JB
