Actress Dimples Romana immensely enjoyed her family’s recent surfing vacation in La Union that she promised to share the adventure with fans in an upcoming vlog.
In the meantime, Romana recounted her family’s trip in her Instagram post yesterday, Jan. 16, where she showed a clip of her daughter Callie surfing for the first time.
“@callieahmee ‘s first time surfing and I’m happy she got to do this in picturesque La Union,” she said.
The vacation “weeks ago” had Romana’s family meeting the most amazing surfing instructors who “have super missed teaching tourists dahil panandalian munang natigil ang kanilang work (because their work was temporarily halted).”
“Most of them have had to do other jobs since the pandemic and now that they’re opening real soon we are showing you how you can bring your friends, your whole family here together, traveling in the new normal, what to expect and the necessary measures you can take to travel safely and have the most fun [despite and in spite] of,” she said.
Since many were asking how her family was able to go traveling given the current conditions, the actress promised to given them advice and information soon in her vlog, featuring their family trip not only in La Union but in Baguio as well.
“[Hopefully] we can help bring back the confidence of our [travelers], lets help rebuild our communities and slowly learn the art of being responsible tourists and be mindful not only of the destinations we visit but also the people in the hospitality industry who are greatly affected by the pandemic,” she said.
Romana also encouraged people to travel within the Philippines first before considering travels abroad. JB
