Vice Ganda is not at all worried about the kissing scenes and other intimate scenes that his boyfriend Ion Perez will do in an upcoming film with Sunshine Guimary.

Vice Ganda knew all along that these scenes are important parts of the movie “Kaka,” said to be a sex comedy slated to be the launching movie of Guimary. Vice Ganda is even proud that Perez gets to portray the role.

“Siyempre alam ko ‘yun dahil ako ang manager ni Jackie at Ion. Ako ang pumirma sa kontrata,” Vice Ganda said during the online press conference for “Tawag ng Tanghalan: Huling Tapatan” of “It’s Showtime,” Jan. 30.

(Of course, I knew about it because I am the manager of Jackie and Ion. I signed the contract.)

“Nae-excite ako at sobra akong proud na, ay ang taray na may nakuhang ganoong role si Ion, na siya ang pinili. Ang taray mo, you are the chosen one,” he added.

(I got excited and felt so proud that Ion bagged that kind of role, that he was chosen. You’re great, you’re the chosen one.)

Vice Ganda shared that he already met Sunshine who was once his guest on “Gabing Gabi na Vice.”
With that, Vice Ganda feels that he does not have a problem with Sunshine romancing his boyfriend in the movie.

“Ako, go lang ako. Nasa showbiz tayo, eh. Trabaho ‘yun. Kikita siya doon, ‘di ba?” he said. (For me, it’s a go. We’re in showbiz. That’s work. He will earn from that, right?)

Vice Ganda even shared his conversation with Perez about it. He told his boyfriend that the movie is a sex comedy so he advised Ion to watch sex comedies on Netflix.

“Sabi niya, ‘May laplapan?’ Paano naging sexy comedy kung walang laplapan? Siyempre, makikipaglaplapan ka. Sabi niya, ‘Paano ‘yun?’ Aba’y hindi ko alam. Hindi naman ako nakipaglaplapan sa babae, ‘no,” Vice Ganda shared.

(He said, ‘There’s kissing scenes?” How can it be a sexy comedy without kissing scenes, [I asked]. Of course, you have to do kissing scenes. He said, “How will that be?” [I said,] “I don’t know. I don’t kiss women, right?”)

Vice Ganda reiterated that he supports Ion’s foray into the sex comedy genre.

“Ako, go lang ako. Deads ako sa ganoon. Super support ako. Siyempre, success niya iyon at saka Ion is a different person,” he said. (Me, it’s a go. I don’t care. I super support him. Of course, it’s his success and Ion is a different person.)

But will he watch the love scenes? Vice Ganda answered tentatively.

“’Yun lang ang hindi ako sigurado, kung panonoorin namin, kasi si Ion ayaw niyang pinanonood ang sarili niya. Kahit ‘yung pelikula ko na nandoon siya, hindi siya sumama sa sinehan, ayaw niyang makita, nahihiya siya,” he said.

(That’s the one thing I am not sure of, if we will watch, it because Ion does not like watching himself. Even for my movie where he starred, he didn’t go with me to the cinema. He did not want to see it, he is shy.)
