Actress Andi Eigenmann has of course not yet gotten back to her former fit shape, after having just given birth, but she has no regrets about it.
Eigenmann talked about her postpartum experience in her Instagram page last week, Feb. 18, where she also shared photos of her full body mirror selfies, after giving birth to her third child Koa.
“My only solo pic/s as of late. Taken at 2 weeks postpartum. Still looked exactly like I did 1 day pp, and still do up until today at 1 month pp,” she said about her figure.
Eigenmann admitted she enjoys having her photo taken with her children, which is her way of documenting how they are fast growing up.
“As I’ve mentioned in every other pic [I’ve] posted of the kids, [I’ve] been enjoying every moment of my time with them, because it recently sunk in to me how fast our children grow,” she noted.
The actress had one reality check, though – that she wasn’t the person she was before. She felt that she’s has lately been spending more time with her children “to avoid facing the fact that I haven’t been feeling like myself lately.”
“I’ve been too unmotivated to keep up with my old (good) habits,” she admitted. “And mind you, albeit having 3 kids, I know I do have the time. Because we’re allowed to take some time to focus on ourselves too. Now as a result, in some way, I also know how it could (or does) affect my kids.”
For Eigenmann, the issue is not about bouncing back to her old shape, prior to pregnancy.
“This is about feeling the way I used to. I’ve found that a great way to parent (IMO) is to strive to become a version of yourself that you love and makes you happy so that you can be a great example to your children too,” she explained.
Eigenmann gave birth to Koa last Jan. 17. Koa is her second child with her partner, professional surfer Philmar Alipayo. She has three children, the eldest being Ellie with actor and ex-boyfriend Jake Ejercito. JB
