After working together in “Kadenang Ginto,” Andrea Brillantes’ friendship with fellow actor Seth Fedelin has reached a comfortable level.

Brillantes sees Fedelin as someone who has matured a lot, she said during the online press conference on March 15 for their new TV series “Huwag Kang Mangamba.”

“Nasa point na kasi na nagkakainisan na kami sa isa’t isa. Ganoon na kami ka-komportable sa isa’t isa. Nag-aasaran kami pero ngayon talaga ay iba na ‘yung care namin sa isa’t isa,” Brillantes said.

(We’re at a point where we annoy each other. We are already that comfortable with each other. We tease each other now but our care for each other has evolved.)

She also commended “Ali” for becoming more mature now and having more depth, with the two of them able to talk more now about what they are going through in life. “Ali” (which is short for “akin lamang ikaw”) is the term of endearment of Brillantes to Fedelin.

In “Huwag Kang Mangamba,” Brillantes plays Mira, a blind orphan who perseveres with a positive outlook in life. Despite her situation, Mira travels to the town of Hermoso to search for her mother. Joy (played by Francine Diaz), on the other hand, is a rebellious daughter who has completely lost faith in God as she longs for her family’s love.

The two cross paths when Joy accidentally runs over Mira, after running away from her family. Both of them escape death and are immediately brought back to life by a miracle.

The series had its pilot episode last Saturday, March 20, on the iWantTFC app and website. It aired March 22 at 8:40 p.m., on TV5 and A2Z channels as free TV. It is also available via digital TV boxes such as ABS-CBN TV Plus. JB
