TV host Amy Perez believes there can only be good that can come out of trusting God, no matter what situation one is in.
Perez shared some of her Sunday thoughts and spoke about the value of trusting God in her Instagram post today, July 18. She showed an art card of a Bible verse which said, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart,” from Proverbs.
“HOW CAN I TRUST GOD WHEN THERE IS SO MUCH UNCERTAINTY IN MY LIFE?” Perez asked in the caption.
The Christian celebrity then recalled a movie she saw about two FBI agents “with different levels of clearance.”
“One seemed to be privy to information that the other one wasn’t aware of, and when he asked for information, he was told that it was given on a ‘need to know’ basis,” she said.
She feels that “God’s like that with us sometimes.”
“If we need to know something, we can always be assured that He will tell us, but if we don’t need to know, or it is better for us not to know, then He won’t tell us, and we can, and should, learn to be satisfied with that,” the actress explained.
For Perez, the best thing to do when one is “confused” and “frustrated” is to trust the Almighty.
“It’s not wrong to ask God questions. But don’t ever let healthy reasoning become unhealthy or ungodly. Let peace be the umpire in your life (see Colossians 3:15),” she said.
“In other words, let peace be the deciding factor as to whether or not God is pleased with your questions and keep on trusting until you receive your answer,” Perez added. “Just because we don’t know the way doesn’t mean that there is no way.” JB
