MAKATI CITY, Philippines—After successfully staging the first edition of the Miss and Little Miss Stellar competitions virtually in May, Rimah Talents Studio Management is holding another “season” of the three-category event this month.
The Miss and Little Miss Stellar pageants was launched last year with three categories—Little Miss, Pre-Teen, and Teen—but the COVID-19 pandemic compelled the organizers to conduct virtual competitions for the maiden edition, which commenced in March, and culminated in May with a total of 19 participants.
For its second season launched in July, the organizers gathered 61 candidates from different parts of the country for the three categories.
“I am happy that even during the pandemic, RIMAH will continue. We received good feedback from the Season 1 because our pageant is fair and square as we had credible judges,” pageant organizer Shirimah Dimarunsing said in a statement.
“I am hoping that our Season 2 will be as successful as Season 1. My plan is that someday Miss and Little Miss Stellar will go international,” she continued.
In Season 1, Ladea Mae Borja was crowned Miss Teen Stellar, Shadelle Saguisag was proclaimed Miss Pre-Teen Stellar, while Leedami Vargarette Curia was hailed as Little Miss Stellar.
For Season 2, 27 girls will vie for the Little Miss category, while 15 young ladies will compete in the Pre-Teen division. For the Teen category, 19 ladies were shortlisted. The winners will be proclaimed in a virtual ceremony on Sept. 11.
The triple pageants hope to promote youth empowerment.
