Actress Kris Bernal is bent on working and keeping her showbiz career, even after she marries businessman boyfriend Perry Choi.

She stated this as she contemplated her postponed wedding due to the pandemic, as seen on her Instagram page yesterday, Sept. 14.

“Waiting, waiting, waiting… for the new guidelines. No bridal shower, no celebrations for the bride’s upcoming marriage. So, I’m just going to celebrate me, my growth [hopefully in my legs and hips too!], and I’m beyond excited and have so much [gratitude] where this year brings me,” Bernal said.

“To those asking, NO, I will not leave my career after marriage. That’s going to be my biggest mistake and the least I’ll do,” she clarified. “I need, I want, I should always work, for the betterment of myself, my satisfaction, and my happiness.”

Bernal, in a separate post on the same day, also showed photos of herself and her boyfriend while outdoors and being reunited after being apart for a long time.

“Reunited and it feels so good. Today is a happy day for me! Because we haven’t seen each other for a looong time. We’re both [super] afraid of the COVID. Thank you, Lord, for this chance,” she said.

She then professed her love for her would-be-husband, saying, “Perry, I’ll never get tired of saying thank you for always giving me endless, unconditional love and support. Always giving me so much more than I ever deserve. Never expecting anything in return. Never becoming selfish or self-centered. And, always looking out for my well-being and for our best interests.”

Bernal and Choi were supposed to get married last June, but they had to cancel the wedding due to the sudden surge in COVID-19 cases in the country. JB
