Michelle Vito shared the unique experience she had, playing a woman who fell in love with another woman, in an episode of the TV drama series “Maalaala Mo Kaya,” to be aired this month.
As the character Tanch Lobete, a flight attendant and YouTube content creator who fell in love with Miles Ocampo’s Sarah Garcia character, Vito believes she learned a thing or two about what love really is.
“Hindi dinidikta kung sino ang mamahalin mo. Hindi mo alam kung sino ang mamahalin mo. Basta ibibigay na lang sa ‘yo ni God kung sino ang para sa iyo,” she said during the online press conference for the show, Sept. 28. The episode with Vito and Miles will air on Oct. 23 on the Kapamilya Channel and A2Z, Kapamilya Online Live on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s online platforms, iWantTFC, and The Filipino Channel on cable and IPTV.
(Who you will love cannot be dictated on you. You will not know who you will love. God will just give you the person meant for you.)
Love, for Vito, is also not always a bed of roses and there will be hard times along the way, but she thinks that despite this, the right person meant for someone will always give the love that the person deserves.
Meanwhile, Vito admitted that it was her dream to star in an MMK episode.
“Lahat tayo gusto nating bumida sa MMK. Naalala ko noong first time kong gumawa ng MMK, sobrang excited ko talaga. Lahat talaga ng artista din naman, gusto nilang maging part ng MMK at bumida sa MMK kasi ibang experience talaga,” she said.
(All of us want to star in MMK. I remember when I made my first MMK, I was so excited. All actors really want to participate and star in MMK because it really is a different experience.)
Vito was also extremely happy to be working with Ocampo, whom she knows from way back.
“Tinanong ko kung sino ang kapartner ko. Noong nalaman ko na si Miles (Ocampo), ’ah, buti nalang si Miles,'” she said. “Kasi ang laking bagay na kakilala mo and kaibigan mo ang kapartner mo, eh, lalo na sa mga ganitong eksena.”
(I asked who my partner would be. When I learned it was Miles, [I thought to myself,] “Ah, thank God it’s Miles.” It’s a big deal for you to know and to be friends with your co-star.) JB
