Actress and celebrity mom Chynna Ortaleza is a hands-on mom to her daughter Stellar, such that she enjoys helping her out in her online classes.
Ortaleza shared her experiences on this in her Instagram page last Saturday, Oct. 16, where she is shown in a series of photos together with her daughter who’s attending online classes and studying.
“Stellar worked extra hard this week to be able to conquer her very first quarterly exam! She did well [and] we kept on reminding her that she should be proud of her accomplishment,” she said.
Chynna admits her daughter made some mistakes during the exam but she did not intervene to correct her.
“Iba rin disiplina sa mga magulang dahil nakikita natin pag may mali na answer ang mga anak natin nasasabi… bawal syempre mag coach. Iba rin talaga online,” she explained.
(Parents need to be disciplined too, because we see when our kids give wrong answers, and we are not allowed to coach. It’s really different online.)

But Ortaleza takes this as a blessing because she believes this is how people should be as parents.
“Our kids will make life mistakes despite how much we prepare them. Ang mahalaga (What’s important is) you are beside them, ready to support [and] remind them that we are here to help them through,” she said.
Her daughter also had a little trick to avoid stress from having mom around while she’s taking her exams — Ortaleza was made to wear a mask.
“Hay napakasaya po maging teacher sa mga anak natin kahit na mas nauuna pa ako ma nerbyos minsan! Hahahahaha,” Ortaleza laughingly noted. (It’s such a joy to be a teacher to our kids though I’m the one who even gets nervous first.) JB
