As one of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Investor Champions, actress Dimples Romana shares tips on how to make one’s money grow.
Romana enumerated various ways to make a good investment via a short video posted on her Instagram page today, Jan. 4,.
“2022 is all about actively pushing for our DREAMS, making them happen and making sure we get all the right steps to achieving our goals! Speaking to the right people, listening to mentors and getting the right information to propel us to where we want to go as investors and entrepreneurs,” she said.
Romana said that her selection as SEC Investolr champion got her “so happy and honored.”
“The Securities and Exchange Commission has tapped me to become one of their #SECinvestorChampions to help you all INVEST, SCAM PROOF your financial future as I join the fight against INVESTMENT scams,” she said.
In the video, Romana said that the first thing to learn is to “invest in ourselves.”
“Kailangan po ay matutunan natin ang mga bagay na hindi natin naiintindihan. ‘Wag na ‘wag tayong mahihiyang magtanong dahil kapag hindi natin alam ang isang bagay, puwedeng-puwede nating alamin iyan sa pamamagitan ng simpleng-simple – just ask,” she said in the video.
(We need to learn things that we don’t understand. We should never be shy to ask questions because if we don’t know something, we can learn about it in a very simple way – just ask.)

But Romana cautioned netizens to be careful in asking questions because sometimes they tend to ask the “wrong people” or “people who are not as knowledgeable as we think they are.”
She said it is important that netizens get legit resources when seeking information on investment. Through SEC’s Investor Champion, one can be guided on how and where to make investments.
