French shoe brand Veja and New York native luxury house Mansur Gavriel present their latest collaboration. A fresh take on Veja’s classic campo silhouette, the limited-edition footwear will be available for pre-order beginning April 7. There are four different color variations to choose from: Sunshine, a bright marigold yellow; Celeste, a refreshing ocean blue; Rosa, a romantic light pink; and Crema, a creamy sand beige.

Standing true to Veja’s sustainability ethics, the shoe’s sole comprises of 65 percent rice waste, Amazonian rubber, and recycled rubber. The brand also uses natural fibers such as fair trade cotton and vegan leather. They are also very adamant about their labor practices, ensuring that all their workers are paid fairly.
In an exclusive interview with Women’s Wear Daily about the collaboration, Veja’s team shared: “Our collaborations are the results of projects we love and people we meet and admire. That’s how we keep creating, exchanging and discovering new perspectives. We have been big fans of Mansur Gavriel for ten years. We know the work Mansur Gavriel is doing; their timeless and relevant aesthetic where craft and materials are essential. We got in contact with them two years ago and were very excited about the possibilities of what we could create together.”
Prior to their collaboration with Mansur Gavriel, Veja also recently partnered with Marni last March.
Veja x Mansur Gavriel will be available for worldwide release beginning April 21 and can be purchased on both the Veja and Mansur Gavriel websites.
