Actor Mark Manicad’s childhood dream was to fly and be like Chris Evans’ Human Torch character in the movie “Fantastic Four.”
Manicad and the rest of “Mars Ravelo’s Darna” cast were asked what superpowers they would want to have during the grand mediacon for the TV series earlier this month, and flying and having torch powers are what came to mind for Manicad. It appears that to this day, he still has super power dreams.
“Ngayon, sa edad kong ito ay lagi akong nananaginip na lumilipad ako. Ang weird pero ang sarap sa feeling,” he revealed.
(Now, at my age, I always dream that I am flying. It is weird but it feels good.)
Manicad plays Ali in the series, a character close to Regina/Valentina played by Janella Salvador.
“Sobrang saya ko na sa kabila ng nangyari sa ABS-CBN ay nakapagbigay pa rin sila ng ganito kagandang show para sa mga Pilipino,” he said.
(I am so happy that despite what happened to ABS-CBN, they were still able to give this beautiful show to Filipinos.) JB
