Not all moms may agree, but DJ Chacha thinks that giving her daughters their due vacations is a must, and it’s something that she strictly observes.
“I’m that Mom who’ll make an excuse letter for my kids to travel,” she said in her Instagram page today, Sept. 5, where she showed her vacation photos with her daughters Sabbina Nataliah and Savannah Alejandra.
“Kunsitidora? Nope. Siguro sa mata ng ibang magulang mali, pero saken hindi,” she added. (Enabler? No. Maybe in the eyes of other parents, but not in mine.)
For DJ Chacha, vacations are a good opportunity for kids to learn outside the classroom. She also wants her children to see the beauty of the Philippines and the world, and be able to build good memories they can keep throughout their lives.
“When they think about their childhood, they’ll remember these trips with fondness,” she stressed. “They won’t remember the shiny new toy they got for their birthday. Our kids will remember what they experienced.”

DJ Chacha also expressed hope that her kids’ teachers would “understand the importance of [traveling].”
“Lalo na dalawang taon nakulong sa bahay ang mga bata dahil sa pandemya,” she explained. (Especially since children have been locked inside homes for two years, because of the pandemic.) JB
