For actress-yoga instructor Maxene Magalona, accepting oneself along with one’s frailties will make living a lot easier and hassle-free.
In her Instagram post Monday, Magalona stressed the importance of living in the now while acknowledging the past.
“Here’s a suggestion: Don’t deny your past. Forgive and accept who you used to be so that you can heal and become who you want to be—your highest self,” she said in her post, believing that “some things can stay the same but there are definitely some parts of us that we need to release and transform.”
“Stop running away from your inner demons and learn how to befriend them so that they can be integrated into your whole being,” she appealed.
“Let’s face it. We all have darkness inside of us. We are all made up of both good and bad. The more you deny your darkness, the more your demons will take over you until you won’t be able to recognize yourself anymore,” she said.
Working on one’s toxic traits and habits will make one see the light, she said, noting that all that one has to do is to “tame your ego and release negative energy so that your soul can shine and radiate through and through.”
“This is how we grow. This is how we evolve,” she stressed. EDV
