As it turns out, the just-released tell-all documentary ‘Harry & Meghan’ on Netflix was just the beginning, as Prince Harry claims that he was once physically attacked by his brother Prince William in his new memoir.

Slated to be released on January 10, The Guardian secured a copy of the controversial book which teases never-before-seen insider information on the royal family, even more glaring the ones shared via the documentary with his wife, the Dutchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. Likely to be included in the memoir are; his drug-taking, his experiences as an Army helicopter pilot in the Afghanistan conflict, his urging alongside his brother for their father to not marry Camilla, his story that Camilla converted his bedroom in the Clarence House in London into her dressing room as soon as he moved out, his memory of William and Catherine, now the Prince and Princess of Wales, laughing after seeing him dressed in a Nazi uniform for a party, and most shockingly, his detailed recounting of Prince William physically attacking him after a disagreement concerning Meghan.

Excerpts from the book explain that the argument began at his London home in 2019, when William called Meghan “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive”. Harry claims that he told his brother that he was merely parroting information from press releases that were already aimed at smearing his wife’s name, to which William clung to rationality. This spurred a shouting match between the two, exchanging insults, until it escalated to William as Harry writes, “grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and … knocked me to the floor”.

A more detailed description of the events is included in the memoir where he mentions that he gave his brother a glass of water and said: “Willy, I can’t speak to you when you’re like this.”

He continues, “He set down the water, called me another name, then came at me. It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”

During an interview with ITV, Harry said: “I would like to get my father back, I would like to have my brother back.” while an honorable goal, it doesn’t seem like he will get them back any time soon.
