Heart Evangelista Shines at Moschino Show, Filipinos Showcase Their Style at Milan Fashion Week | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

Moschino: say the name and it’s almost impossible not to conjure up images of flamboyant excess, unbridled creativity, and an unapologetic embrace of all things bold and beautiful. Yet, despite the sometimes dizzying cacophony of colors, prints, and textures that characterize the brand’s collections, there has always been an underlying sense of refinement, sophistication, and an unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in fashion.

With Jeremy Scott at the helm of the creative ship, Moschino’s runway shows have never failed to deliver an exhilarating dose of glamour, wit, and rebellious energy that leaves us breathless and wanting more. And let’s not forget the front row – a veritable who’s who of fashion’s most stylish and influential tastemakers – who always manage to bring their own special brand of magic to the proceedings.

Enter: Heart Evagelista, the industry’s favorite darling. Coming to represent the Philippines, alongside her was none other than Camille Ko-Coro, LA Aguinaldo, Verniece Enciso, and Tim Yap, donning eye-catching looks.

Life preservers have never been and looked as chic until now. From Moschino’s SS23 collection, Heart Evangelista floats in a narrow-cut white dress with cobalt blue panels by her sides that swimmingly follow the current serving as her straps, finished off with a preserver holding onto her waist. She added to her look a matching blue bag adorned with Moschino’s signature hearts in silver chrome along with complementary shoes to boot. This girl never drowns.

Camille Co-Koro also made a statement at the latest Moschino show in a striking two-piece ensemble. Donning a patchwork jacket and matching trousers from the Italian brand’s previous collection, whilst LA Aguinaldo rocked a captivating fusion of old-world charm and modern sophistication, clad in a captivating dark blue two-piece suit.

Other Filipinos in attendance were the likes of Tim Yap, who made a striking appearance in a modernized terno suit that not only showcased his impeccable taste, but also served as a reminder to prioritize our own health: Maybe it’s time for that annual check-up. The CAT scan-inspired cropped suit, designed by the talented Filipino designer Glyn Alley Magtibay, who was a finalist at TernoCon, was adorned with x-ray prints of a skull on both sleeves and a spine at the back, truly showcasing the designer’s unique vision and ingenuity. It’s a look that proves Filipino is world-class.

Verniece Enciso also fully embraced the theme by donning an ensemble from Moschino’s latest capsule collection which pays tribute to the iconic Bugs Bunny. She paired a cherry red biker jacket with a cartoon heart picture and Moschino logo print on the back with a pleated silk twill miniskirt, both featuring a playful Bugs Bunny print. Completing the look with a white minibag and knee-high boots, the only thing missing was a carrot. But with this fun and whimsical ensemble, who needs it?
