Now, picture this idyllic scene taken to the next level (albeit in the middle of BGC); an elevated experience that leaves you feeling not just refreshed, but also slightly intoxicated, in the best way possible. This is from the workshop curated by The Tanqueray Terrace with illustrator Soleil Ignacio and bartender David Abalyan, where you can enjoy a bespoke drinks experience that immerses you in a world of art and inspiration.
The workshop offers a unique and personalized drinking experience, along with an atmosphere that celebrates art and inspiration. Furthermore, guests have the opportunity to engage in a workshop led by talented Filipino artists and World Class bartenders, enabling them to explore the remarkable flavors and combinations of gin and tonic in ways they’ve never experienced before, including mixtures of lavender and citrus, cold brew and orange juice.
At the workshop, we had the pleasure of immersing ourselves in the worlds of art and mixology under the tutelage of two exceptional individuals – the illustrious Soleil Ignacio and the accomplished bartender David Abalayan.

Soleil’s artistic prowess has earned her numerous accolades in the fashion and beauty industries. Her style, characterized by stylized strokes and textures, is instantly recognizable and has won her a legion of fans. In this workshop, she shared her secrets for creating breathtaking Tanqueray Copa glasses that were not only functional but also works of art: have an idea or don’t have an idea, touch that paintbrush, don’t think too much and move – movement is life. With Soleil’s guidance, we learned to infuse our creations with beauty, elevating our drinking experience to new heights.
David Abalayan, on the other hand, is a superstar in the bartending world. He is the recipient of the coveted Diageo World Class Philippines Bartender of the Year award in 2019, a testament to his exceptional mixology skills. In this workshop, he expertly crafted cocktails that perfectly complemented Soleil’s designs. The result was a sensory experience that was as visually stunning as it was delicious. David’s passion for mixology was evident in every sip we took, and we were left in awe of his craft.
Together, Soleil and David created a magical fusion of art and mixology that was truly unforgettable. The Tanqueray Terrace workshop was a space where creativity flourished, where we were encouraged to engage all our senses: From the tantalizing aromas of the cocktails to the visually stunning designs on the glasses, every aspect of the workshop was designed to create unforgettable moments with friends. It was an opportunity to escape the mundane and immerse oneself in a world of art and inspiration, all while enjoying the extraordinary taste and flavor of an experimental gin and tonic like never before.
As the sun set and the lights began to twinkle, the atmosphere was electric, alive with the joy of learning, creating, and savoring delicious cocktails. It was an experience that lingered long after the workshop ended.
