Taylor Swift Announces Release Date for ‘Speak Now (Taylor's Version)’ Album | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

Taylor Swift’s re-recording of her ‘Speak Now’ album finally has a release date!

The Grammy-winning singer made the announcement live whilst performing in her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee for her ‘Eras Tour’.

“I think rather than me speaking about it,” she said to screaming fans, “I thought I would show you – so if you would direct your attention to the big screens…” Behold, the profile of Swift wearing her iconic violet tulle frock from the original ‘Speak Now’ album emerged, but this time, it features a more recent image of the artist.

Just below the album name, fans could easily spot its release date of July 7th, 2023.

Taking to her social media platforms, the ‘1989’ singer shared: “I first made Speak Now, completely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20. The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness. I love this album because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing… and living to speak about it.”

Fans have been eagerly waiting for Swift’s re-recording of her record-breaking 2010 album following the release of her versions of ‘Red’ and ‘Fearless’.

In 2019, the country singer famously announced that she would be re-recording her previous albums after being unable to purchase the master recordings of her back catalog.
