The Embassy of Israel recently celebrated their 75th Independence Day at the Manila Hotel.
In his speech, Israel Ambassador Ilan Fluss highlighted the 65-year friendship between the Philippines and Israel, citing historical milestones. like the open-door policy of the late President Manuel Quezon and the Philippines’ support for the establishment of Israel.
The event showcased the longstanding cooperation in humanitarian assistance, economics and defense, including Israel’s aid to the Philippines during natural disasters. Fluss expressed pride in Israel as a global leader in knowledge and innovation and expressed eagerness to strengthen partnerships in areas like technology.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, and a performance by the all-female drummer group Rhythmania.
