After the release of Lorde’s second album Melodrama, the singer revealed that she’s been living a double life. One where she runs an onion ring review Instagram account.
I couldn’t believe it at first when NewsHub reported on “Lorde’s secret onion ring Instagram account” named Onion Rings Worldwide. (Now-deleted, but a mirror account exists.) As it turns out, Lorde admitted to Jimmy Fallon she indeed own the account.
“I have to explain first. Here’s the thing… I sort of naively didn’t realize it would be a thing that I was going to different places and trying the onion rings at each of those places,” she said. “I just… Ah! God, it’s me! It’s me.”
Onion Ring Worldwide basically had photos of onion rings captioned with witty reviews and zero to five-star ratings. It’s entertaining and makes me want to order a plate of onion rings the next I go out.
