Enter ‘Trese After Dark,’ the aftershow special of ‘Trese’ - SCOUT

OCTOBER 27, 2022

A day before the drop of Filipino animated series “Trese,” the hype is at an all-time high—and we clearly see why. Cue the clever marketing schemes, killer visuals, and an awesome new sneak peek with an even more awesome title sequence.

With our hopes up, it’s safe to say we’ll have a punch of post-viewing emptiness after finally watching it. So if you can’t catch sleep after the series, just swing by “Trese After Dark,” a Netflix special that serves as your “Trese” aftershow hangout.

At the Diabolical, you can hang out with the “Trese” team—the co-creators, writers, director, and stars—for a deep-dive into the show, including its origin story. “Trese After Dark” will stream on Netflix on June 11, and it might be the same place to get your questions answered, too.

“We wanted to tell a story on everything we’re afraid of as kids, and now it’s something we can share with the rest of the world,” says “Trese” comics writer Budjette Tan in a teaser.

Liza Soberano, who voices Alexandra Trese in the series’ Filipino-dubbed version, also shares her excitement. “It was surreal to get to chat with the creators of ‘Trese!’ I even got to ask Budjette something I’ve been thinking about since reading the komiks.”

Based on the well-loved komiks, anime series “Trese” follows a private detective named Alexandra Trese who’s on the lookout for supernatural creatures lurking in Manila to solve the city’s brewing crimes.
