National Museum of Natural History opens 3 new exhibition galleries | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

If you’ve already gone to the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) in Luneta Park, you know that there still a lot of doors to be opened there. Today, however, it has unveiled three permanent exhibition galleries to give honor to our famed hero Jose Rizal on his 157th birthday.

There are now seven large galleries in the newest addition to the National Museum Complex, which opened just last month. Here are the newest additions:

  • “Mossy, Montane, and Pine Forests” at Gallery V, the Zuellig Family Exhibition Hall
  • “Lowland Evergreen Rainforests” at Gallery VI
  • “Freshwater Wetlands” at Gallery VIII, the Megaworld Exhibition Hall

These galleries display the respective habitats denoted in the exhibition titles as well as the prominent flora and fauna that characterize their environments. They give the urban dwellers and visitors a feel of the Philippine archipelago’s rich ecosystem.

NMNH also announced the opening of five halls to the public on Aug. 12. Stay tuned for more details.

Meanwhile, if you haven’t toured the NMNH yet, watch this quick guide to make the most out of your visit:
