Singapore's celebrity chef Justin Quek will be bringing his signature French-Asian cuisine in Manila soon | Lifestyle.INQ

For his first visit to the Philippines, Justin Quek, a highly renowned chef across Asia and Europe, will be at the second leg of the Solaire’s Culinary Masters, a series of events that welcomes prominent chefs from all over the world. 

Quek was the first Singaporean chef to the French ambassador, Singapore’s former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew, former Chinese President Jiang Zemin, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates.

From Sept. 3 to 8, he will be taking over Solaire Resort and Casino’s Red Lantern and Lucky Noodles restaurants bringing in his popular culinary creations that will be available in curated menus and special lunch and dinner offers.

There will be a limited seating wine dinner on Sept. 4, and a Lantern dim sum lunch buffet on Sept. 7 and 8 featuring Quek’s ngoh hiang or prawns, and pork fritter rolls, lap mei fan or meat clay pot rice with black truffle in lotus leaves, and duck foie gras xiao long bao.

Red Lantern customers can also enjoy a week-long premium ala carte menu filled with Quek’s scallop and uni “har gow” in crab bisque, wilted spinach and caviar, mushroom capuccino soup, and sautéed French duck foie gras and oriental greens. Meanwhile, Lucky Noodles will only serve some of Quek’s selected signature dishes for a week on its ala carte menu.

Quek worked in highly reputable properties across Asia and esteemed Michelin Star restaurants across Europe. He also headed various French fine dining establishments across Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Shanghai before he went back to Singapore to open the 240-seater fine-dining restaurant, Sky on 57, at Marina Bay Sands with him as the principal chef.
