From Lizzo’s teeny tiny bag at the AMAs to Proenza Schouler’s XXL totes, the fashion world still seems to be at odds on whether miniature or massive bags is the next big, or teeny tiny, trend.
Dubbed as “fashion’s last rebel,” creative director and designer Jeremy Scott put in his two cents on the matter when he invaded the New York subway and debuted his latest train-inspired Moschino collection where accessories got rather oversized. And when I say oversized, I mean oversized.
The collection was inspired by Scott’s experience in the subway when he was still studying fashion. 90s-inspired denim apparels and baggy tracksuits were paired with chunky-dad-style sneakers for nostalgia. But what really took over the runway—literally and figuratively—were the large clutch bags, safety pins, watches, and backpacks.
