In May, Chanel announced that Kristen Stewart would be the face of their new fragrance, Gabrielle. And now we see her dancing and running in the perfume’s newly released ad as Beyoncé’s song “Runnin’” plays in the background.
According to Elle, Kristen is seen breaking out of a gauze-like container, which looks like a cocoon. She then runs towards a wall of perfume bottles as the gauze rips off of her body. Kristen punches through the wall and admires the scenery behind it.
Chanel’s head of global creative resources Thomas du Pré de Saint-Maur explained that, “We deliberately took the opposite line from storytelling. Instead of retracing [Gabrielle Chanel’s] life, we chose to put the spotlight on her free and rebel-at-heart personality.”
The fragrance is a floral scent that has notes of jasmine, ylang-ylang, orange blossom, and tuberose. If you want to get your hands on a bottle, it is available online for $135.
