Elyu’s Surftown Pride 2020 is happening online this weekend

The folks of La Union are taking Pride to everyone this year, no road trips needed.

From Jun. 19 to 21, Surftown Pride will be holding a series of Zoom talks dedicated to unpacking the LGBTQ+ community’s experiences. Each night, there will also be an online shindig—because what’s an Elyu event without one?

We might not be able to visit #Elyu yet, but the lovely community we very much miss actually arranged a digital Surftown Pride 2020! From June 19-21, they will be facilitating talks and socials that we can all join as a supportive and collective space for the LGBTQ+ community. It’s for FREE! Register with the link in our bio, and feel free to donate as a little donation goes a long way to keep their cause, beneficiaries, and partner communities marching.❤️?️‍? #thinkingofyou #biyaheroes #surftownpride #pride2020?️‍?

Surftown Pride features talks on queer artistic expression, the dynamics of same-sex relationships, coming out to your parents, self- acceptance and more. If you have some funds to spare, you can also donate via GCash to the cause, which will help keep Surftown’s beneficiaries and partner communities going even while we all still can’t visit the beach. Let them know you miss them, yeah?

If you want to join in on the virtual festivities, all you have to do is pre-register to get the Zoom link.
