Here’s a reason to watch TV: Rare indie films from Cinema One | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

At this point, we owe part of our sanity to the films available online. Now that cinemas are in the backseat (shoutout to drive-in theaters, though) we’re grateful for still being able to tick items off our watchlist. To everyone making this possible, you’re definitely the real G.

This month, local cinema is making more waves on our screens. Not only has Cinema One been building their roster online—they’re also lining up films on TV. On the Cinema One Originals page, it was announced that more films are coming this September. Turn your TV on for once, kid. Rare indie gems are coming to their channel.

On Wednesdays and Sundays this month, we’ll be able to watch LGBTQ+ drama films “Mga Gabing Kasinghaba ng Hair Ko” and “Esoterika: Maynila;” documentary “Forbidden Memory;” and “Evolution of a Filipino Family,” Lav Diaz’s 10-hour epic.

Anything else you want to watch this quarantine? Tweet us at @scoutmagph with your recos and we might just persuade our nearby production companies (or just reply “hard same” if we don’t have the confidence during that time.)
