OCTOBER 27, 2022

When it comes to food trends, expect the herbs and spices expert to be in the forefront. McCormick just introduced its new line of fry sets and dipping sauces at the Flavor Nation Festival 2018 held on May 13 at Bonifacio Global City. On its third consecutive year, the annual food festival continues its mission to enrich Filipino lives through innovative cooking ideas.

Expect McCormick to provide the best quality products that enhance the dining experience because McCormick believes that Filipinos deserve to eat good food every day. This year, McCormick revealed their latest food innovations—McCormick Agemono Fry Sets in Karaage, Tempura, and Tonkatsu flavors to make it easier for everyone to create and enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine at home, while fried food can be easily transformed into a real Asian dining experience with McCormick Dipping Sauces in Sweet Chili, Teriyaki, Tonkatsu, and Sriracha flavors.

Friends, families, foodies, and foodie families alike were taken on a culinary journey across Asia’s rich food history
The festival was also sprinkled with workshops and performances that rendered attendees a more thoughtful appreciation of Asian culture

Attendees and festival loyalists flocked to the whole-day affair and had the opportunity to sample delicious grilled chicken teriyaki, karaage with sweet chili dipping sauce, tempura with tempura sauce, Thai fish cake balls with sriracha sauce, and tonkatsu with tonkatsu dipping sauce.

Of course, a food festival won’t be complete without food demonstrations. Sabrina Artadi of Sabrina’s Kitchen taught the crowd how to use McCormick herbs and spices in enhancing the flavor of pork humba and shrimp and curry pancakes. Not to be outdone, “Mothers Who Brunch” duo Michelle Aventajado and Sabrina Go demonstrated the different ways of making kids’ lunches exciting. Bento expert Kat Maderazo showed parents and children how to create beautiful and scrumptious food art in bento boxes.

Serious food aficionados, however, were treated to a masterful cooking demonstration by McCormick chef Tenten Casasola assisted by actress Neri Miranda. Using McCormick Agemono Fry Sets and Dipping Sauces, chef Tenten showed the versatility of the McCormick products by creating simple, delicious, and easy-to-cook dishes like sweet chili fish poppers, omurice with tonkatsu sauce, mozzarella sticks with sriracha mayo, teriyaki-glazed chicken wings, and sriracha chicken. Recipes will be posted on the McCormick Facebook Page so you can try it at home.

Aside from the glorious free food and demonstrations, the food festival also featured activities that celebrate East Asian culture like origami and kanji workshops, wadaiko drums performances, and even unique food stalls like Sabaw Dumplings, One Matcha, and more. It was a truly remarkable day for everyone who participated in the Flavor Nation Festival, proving once again why this is one of the most anticipated events in the country.
