Attention bibliophiles! You might be tired of the urban noise and demands at work and you can’t seem to remember the last time you sat down and read a book. For some people, making time for this kind of recreation becomes a luxury because time can’t seem to slow down for a little reading leisure.

That’s why this Saturday, Bellas Artes Projects, a non-profit arts foundation, will be having its book swap and sale at the Bellas Artes Outpost, Makati. This activity will be free and open to the public from 2 p.m until 4:30 p.m.

We are pleased to invite you to BAP Book Swap & Sale on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Bellas Artes Outpost, Makati. 📖 This public and free event invites people to bring 1-2 books to participate in a book swap with fellow book lovers and our selection of surplus books, browse BAP Library collection, or purchase from a selection of independent book sellers, including Books from Underground, @artbooksph, @isipkwago, and @bookpanes. Our collection hosts over 1,000 art books ranging from architecture, design and photography to exhibition catalogues, artist monographs and an assortment of periodicals, which will be available to read only. We will also be joined by Judy Freya Sibayan (@judyfreyasibayan) for a Human Archive performance at 2:30-4:30pm followed by open mic poetry group, Ang Sabi Nila (@angsabinila.ph), that will be hosting a poetry workshop and readings from 4:30-6:30pm. For those who want to join in the book swap, you should bring one to two books to exchange with fellow book lovers. There will also be a collection of books ranging from architecture, design, photography to artist monographs and assorted periodicals that you can scan but will be available for reading only.

Also, if you want to add more books to your reading list, several book shops will be present at the book swap such as Books from Underground, Artbooks.ph, Kwago, and BookPanes.

A human archive performance by Judy Freya Sibayan, an open-mic performance by Ang Sabi Nila, and a poetry workshop will also be seen in the event.
