A playlist of sounds made from 10,000 Lego bricks exists

OCTOBER 27, 2022

Call this ASMR with Lego bricks.

A more than three-hour long playlist by The Lego Group called “LEGO® White Noise” has just dropped on Spotify and features seven tracks recorded using (you guessed it) your childhood toy favorite: Lego bricks.

“Each LEGO element makes a unique noise, which is why designers experimented with over 10,000 in their quest for the perfect soothing sounds. The result is a soundscape that includes tracks such as ‘It All Clicks’ which perfectly captures the joyous sound of two LEGO elements joining together, and ‘The Waterfall’ created by pouring thousands of LEGO bricks on top of each other,” says Lego on its website.

The rest of the tracks include “Built for Two,” “Wild as the Wind,” “Searching for the One (Brick),”Big Hearted Bricks” and “The Night Builder.” The crisp sounds from clicks, drops and colliding Legos are relaxing, if not amazing, and the result is a soundscape that’s both playful and subdued.

The playlist ought to inspire a sense of calm, a moment of relaxation or even  momentary nostalgia. Listen to the playlist here.
