UP launches a web portal that maps out COVID-19 cases and quarantine facilities | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

As a way to better monitor the rise of COVID-19 cases in the country, the University of the Philippines COVID-19 Pandemic Response Team launched Endcov.ph: an online portal that will provide the public with updated information on COVID-19.

Endcov.ph has a detailed map where users can see street or satellite views of locations with COVID-19 cases, quarantine checkpoints and hospitals. The map is also color-coded to reflect which areas have the most (indicated by darker colors) and the least (indicated by lighter colors) number of confirmed COVID-19 cases.

Aside from a map of confirmed cases, the web portal also has pages that discuss COVID-19 related policies, resources and symptoms of the disease. Profiles of patients who have been investigated and tested, admitted and treated in hospitals, as well as statistics of fatalities and recoveries can also be viewed on the site.

The data available on the site was gathered by the staff of the UP Resilience Institute (UPRI). Dr. Alfredo Mahar Lagmay, executive director of the UPRI, noted that additional functions on the portal will be added as soon as more information on the virus is made available.
