On today’s episode of things that went virtual—Disney rides | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

All of us have dreamed of visiting a Disney park at one point in our lives. I know some people who were planning to travel to Japan this year to fulfill their childhood Disney dreams. But due to the pandemic, public places and tourist spots—including Disney World—have halted operations and might not resume until 2021.

Good news though: Walt Disney World has taken their attractions to YouTube so people can enjoy a 360° virtual experience of their rides. The videos were shot in first-person perspective and let you experience all the little details—from navigating the park to waiting in line for the ride. You can even hear the chatter from the people “nearby.”

Since the lockdown started, Walt Disney World has already uploaded nine videos. Some of their latest uploads include the rides on “Pirates of the Carribean” and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. The channel also includes a tour of “Star Wars” Galaxy’s Edge.

Besides the virtual rides, Disney also offers free drawing and animation classes on YouTube. They even released the recipe for the famous Disney Parks Churro Bites to complete the Disney experience.

Well, I guess it’s safe to say we’re fulfilling our childhood dream online.
