3,000 Avilon Zoo animals need funding for care. Here’s how you can help | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

Avilon Zoo has reached out to the public for help in providing for the needs and welfare of the animals under their care.

Due to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic in maintaining good quality animal care and veterinary services, the zoo in Rizal is raising funds by selling non-expiring admission tickets exclusively through their website

Priced at P600, these special tickets can be used any time after the end of the quarantine period. These will be used to support the Avilon Wildlife Conservation Foundation in its mission to care for the over 3,000 animals—such as the Philippine falconet, saltwater crocodile and rufous hornbill—housed at the 7.5-hectare facility.

“Online admission tickets do not expire and can be used on any date as soon as quarantine restrictions are lifted. Avail as much as you can and help us continue to provide for our animals and the people taking care of them,” Avilon wrote in their Facebook post.

Payments can be made via credit card and DragonPay online banking and over-the-counter methods.

Originally, regular admission rates to Avilon Zoo are priced at P800, while children below three feet can avail of tickets at P600 and children below 12 months of age are free of charge.
