Two gadgets in one

02:30 AM March 22, 2013

Imagine working on your last project way ahead of time on your PC, and you have time to kill, so you play some video games. But then, someone tells you that the paper you just finished was wrong, but you’re already on your way to work.

Usually, it all blows up in your face, and you are left facing the consequences. But with Samsung’s new line of products, this situation could become obsolete.

The Samsung ATIV Smart PCs, the ATIV S Smart Phone and the Samsung Series 7 All in One PC—all these products come with the new Microsoft Windows 8 operating system. It’s the newest technology from one of the biggest companies in the world.

This is not just fun and games; apps can always be installed for leisure. The ATIV S also comes with Xbox games which provide amazing quality in gaming, with its 4.8-inch Super Amoled display.

It has a top-notch 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and comes with the very useful Microsoft office—best for work on the go.

Now, if you’re having trouble deciding what is more practical for your lifestyle, a nice portable tablet for your busy schedule or a good reliable laptop to type long reports, consider this.

When you need to use your apps or are just taking pictures of random people and scenery, a tablet would be a good choice. The famous S pen makes life easier for those into design and are just doodling.

Well, it won’t be such a hard choice because Samsung has also provided us with the ATIV Smart PC and ATIV Smart PC Pro. So imagine having a tablet and a notebook at the same time; it’s more practical, and  it’s easier to manage files and other applications because you won’t have to worry about switching your files.

High performance

The 11.6-inch full HD LCD display promises to make the experience more appealing, and shows its high performance in terms of displaying movies or really high-resolution photographs and presentations.

This would be very useful, as well, because when  you have to modify files, the Microsoft Office programs keep you up-to-date and on-the-go when it comes to work, presentations or even just writing down things for your blogs.

Although most of the devices by Samsung often promote convenience, the Samsung All in One Series 7 is probably the daddy of all these new Windows 8 devices. The Samsung AIO Series 7 doesn’t trumpet its portability or its compact size; in fact, it’s huge.

With its 23.6-inch full HD and its Intel Core i7 processor and its 8GB of RAM along with a monster AMD Radeon HD graphics, the AIO Series 7 makes sure you can stay at home to watch movies, play games or work.

You will love how it has everything, because it can double as a television set as well.

The Samsung AIO Series 7 is cool. It has a 10-finger multi-touch function—no hassle of using only two fingers when dealing with a big touchscreen. The ATIV Smart PC also has this function.

But what probably takes the cake in the AIO Series 7 is the hand gesture recognition fuction, which means that simply moving your hand around a meter away from the device gives you control of the PC.

That would be definitely useful when you’re watching a movie and you do not want to move closer to the screen just to pause or adjust the volume.

For bookworms, the hand gesture recognition also allows you to read your e-book from afar, and lets you turn pages by just swiping your hand at the device.

The new Windows 8 products of Samsung don’t always have to be about work. The magic word here is functionality and practicality; the all-new ATIV Smart PCs and ATIV S give you both an office and a gaming hub that weighs much lighter than your collection of textbooks.
