MANILA, Philippines – Exclusivity and uniqueness are some of the hallmarks of Buddha-Bar Manila, the ultimate restaurant and lounge of sophistication, style and power. These very traits come to the fore when world-famous Sushi Chef Masato Nakabayashi visits Buddha-Bar Manila on July 5, 2014 to perform his patented “Masato Show”, a spectacular culinary event that includes the live cutting of a large fish that will be turned into amazing, unusual sushi and sashimi creations before a bedazzled crowd.
Before he became a Sushi master and the resident Sushi chef of Buddha-Bar Paris, Masato’s extraordinary journey began at a small oceanside town in Japan. He soon moved to Utah in the US to learn the fine art of sushi making at a long-time friend’s traditional Japanese restaurant. After a decade of honing his skills, Masato achieved fame as a Sushi expert known for his uncanny ability to surprise the most discerning of diners and for his exuberant creativity.
Masato was then appointed to create the menu of the Little Buddha Café that was about to be opened in the Palms Casino Resort in 2001. There was no looking back from thereon as Masato’s inventive creations and unconventional style sealed his reputation as one of the best Sushi Chefs in the world, now recognized as Buddha-Bar style. Currently working at the Buddha-Bar Paris main headquarters, Masato spends most of his time developing exciting and unexpected recipes and training new sushi chefs for Buddha-Bar outlets worldwide.
And now it is Buddha-Bar Manila’s turn to experience the “Masato Show” on a limited one-night only run from 7 to 10 PM for a very friendly price of P1,000.00 that also includes a serving of tuna sashimi and sushi dishes paired with wine and sake.
Have your fill of innovative and sumptuous Japanese cuisine courtesy of Chef Masato and Buddha-Bar Manila, the haven for one-of-a-kind shows like the Masato Show. Gifted with an edgy style that results in culinary inventions that keep enthralling the palate, The Masato Show at Buddha-Bar Manila allows guests and Manila’s party set to a special treat that includes a pre-set menu and Tasting of Chef Masato’s inspired sushi and sashimi creations.
