MANILA, Philippines — Travel writer and host Susan Calo Medina died Friday afternoon, the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) said.
“Our most sincere condolences to the family of Travel Time host Ms. Susan Calo Medina who passed away today (Friday),” NCCA said in its Facebook Page.
NCAA said Medina was a former member of the NCCA’s National Committee on Communication.
Former Senator and now Philippine Red Cross Chairman Richard “Dick” Gordon, in a Twitter post, said Medina is “an untiring ally of Philippine tourism.’’
“Great personal friend and untiring ally of Philippine tourism. She is a great loss. We pray for her family,” he said.
Gordon said Medina is being cremated as of posting time.
NCAA said her wake would be brought at the Sanctuario de San Antonio in Forbes Park in Makati City.
