Residential project will have the Shangri-La lifestyle | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

In the unified management system, Horizon Homes will enjoy modern urban elements, from the concierge service to the five-star hotel cuisine

At a time when condo living has become stereotypical, the Shangri-La Group has launched Horizon Homes, a residential development that will give its homeowners the Shangri-La lifestyle experience—from the amenities, concierge service to the cuisine.

Since the boom in condominium living in Metro Manila, property developers have been selling their respective brands of lifestyle. However, this is the first time that a world chain noted for its five-star hotel comfort and luxury is making its hospitality and trademark service accessible to the residents.

The Shangri-La property development at the Fort stands to be the chain’s most dynamic project yet.

Situated in Bonifacio Global City, Shangri-La at the Fort will concretize the hotel’s signature vision in a mixed-use development.

Complex

The complex will include the hotel, a retail center, Shangri-La Residences and Kerry Sports Manila (an integrated sports and fitness complex that will have swimming pools and tennis courts, among other facilities).

For a preview of the dining experience one could have at Horizon Homes, Shangri-La Makati’s Inagiku restaurant prepared a spring lunch that epitomized the hotel’s innovative yet appetizing cuisine, and which will be easily available to Horizon Homes residents.

It started with Nanohana flower sesame tofu and five kinds of spring appetizers, followed by tea pot soup.

The mains were light yet memorable—grilled young bamboo shoot with miso and US Kobe beef in skewer, and steamed snapper with cherry blossom.

From the teppan came grilled seafood with special egg sauce, fried rice, miso soup and pickles.

Dessert was Japanese pastry and Mochi ice cream, capped with Matcha green tea.

The experience was Tokyo in the spring—right in the heart of BGC.

Shangri-La at the Fort is meant to have a relaxed urban vibe, with its shops and restaurants.

Located between The Mind Museum and Bonifacio High Street, the project was, from the start, developed in close collaboration with the Fort community.

Service from the heart

The development will be managed by Shangri-La. John Rice, general manager of the property, explains, “This will be an entire lifestyle complex, where Shangri-La will engage and work with all its components and not just manage the hotel. From the Horizon Homes perspective, we will take the standards and values of Shangri-La—our service from the heart—and offer this to our homeowners.”

In this unified management system, a Horizon Homes resident has the prospect of living in a Shangri-La-managed home.

Horizon Homes is at the top of this distinctive property, and offers homeowners breathtaking urban views, grand spaces and a coveted address.

It is urban, modern, yet with the Shangri-La heritage.

At Horizon Homes, homeowners can create their own dwelling spaces that reflect their individual styles and can enjoy the perks of the Shangri-La way of life—without having to leave the luxury of their own homes.

Customized homes

Shangri-La at the Fort opens in the third quarter of 2015.

Horizon Homes is a collection of limited, highly customized homes—but with the experience of Shangri-La hospitality.

Each Horizon Home will have a spacious, open-plan layout, white marble countertops and deep-walnut veneers, the flexibility of two kitchens (a wet kitchen and main kitchen), both fully equipped with branded appliances and modern utensils.

There will be 24-hour security, a personal concierge service, exclusive recreational facilities and convenient access to Shangri-La Hotel and Kerry Sports facilities.

Residents will enjoy the Shangri-La Golden Circle Jade membership for the first two years.
