In celebration of its 46th anniversary, the Cultural Center of the Philippines presents “The CCP 46th Anniversary Gala: Serenata” on September 4 at 8 pm at the CCP Main Theater. Experience a delightful evening as beloved traditional folk songs are performed by the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra in special musical arrangements by Gawad CCP Awardee Maestro Ryan Cayabyab.
This event will include the special participation of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, Tanghalang Pilipino, Philippine Ballet Theatre and Ballet Philippines.
“Serenata” celebrates the collaboration with the various institutional partners and sponsors whose invaluable support has greatly contributed to the success of the various programs of the CCP.
It also aims to boost the CCP’s Membership Program, which provides the lifeline to sustain the Center’s arts education and audience development programs. For every donation of Php5,000.00, the CCP shall bring twenty (20) young audiences from underserved communities to the concert.
New members and renewals will have the privilege of specially reserved seats to the concert.
As bonus, they will receive the special collector’s edition CD entitled “Serenata: Well-loved Philippine Folk Songs and Melodies” by the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra with Ryan Cayabyab, conductor.
