The new trailer of Mr. Robot’s season three has surfaced the Internet, and it looks like it’s going to be another round of mind-boggling action. Opening with the protagonist, cyber-security engineer and hacker Elliot Alderson (played by Rami Malek), waking up from being shot in the chest in the finale of its last season. Elliot is up, but seems to have no recollection of his surroundings. He asks, “What am I doing here?” And a woman replies, “You don’t remember? The Dark Army turned on us.” Then, it’s quickly revealed that Stage 2, the destruction of the paper backups of E-Corp, was never called off.

Season three’s trailer promises a season that delves more into Elliot’s split personality: Mr. Robot (played by Christian Slater) and how it’s affecting him. Back on screen from October 11,  Bobby Cannavale of Boardwalk Empire is set to appear as a new character named Irving.
