The sequel to Jarrold Tarog’s “Heneral Luna”—”Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral”—has finally released its first teaser
To celebrate the two-year anniversary of the release of director Jerrold Tarog’s breakout film “Heneral Luna” (2015)—the highest grossing Filipino historical film ever—TBA Studios released the first teaser to its sequel, “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral.” Directed by Tarog once again, actor Paulo Avelino reprises his role as General Gregorio “Goyong” del Pilar, the youngest general in the 1898 Philippine-American War.
“Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral”—the second film of the three-part series—will take off where “Heneral Luna” ended, two days after Luna’s assassination. It will depict the struggle of General “Goyo” during the Philippine-American War, namely the five months before the Americans launched its major attack against the then-President Emilio Aguinaldo-led Philippines.
