As we grow older, the party invitations inevitably get fancier—wedding engagements, nuptials, and galas—you get the idea. Chances are, your fresh calendar has now been dotted with little notification marks and no matter how chaotic it gets, even more stressful is figuring out what to wear without repeating outfits!
If you often get “I have nothing to wear!” moments like the rest of us, chances are, you’ve left with last-minute solutions that might backfire in the style department, and you wouldn’t want that.
If your 2015 party outfits were a bit of hit or miss, stay one step ahead of the game with our roundup of celebrities (a.k.a constant names on VIP party lists) who’ll show you how it’s done.
Kathryn Bernardo

It was a night of glamorous ensembles but Kathryn Bernardo, along with Daniel Padilla, took center stage on the red carpet at the Face of the Year Awards in Vietnam last week where she took home the Best Foreign Actress Award in a romantic custom-made Martin Bautista number. With a neutral color palette and demure neckline, it is easy to lose yourself in the crowd, so unexpected touches like a cut-out back and a sweeping updo will make you stand out in the most flattering way possible.
Bianca Valerio and Heart Evangelista

Let’s be honest: Regardless of your inherent love affair with dresses, there are just certain days when you aren’t in the mood to sport a frock. Instead, opt for something like Bianca Valerio’s long printed skirt and crochet halter combo to stay formal and casual without compromising your style cred. For the on-the-go woman who still wants to rock out around town after office hours, a fun pair of trousers (sequin, lace or brocade, you name it) would make perfect sense. I mean, if Heart Evangelista wore them as she cemented her mark as a style icon with an artistic collaboration with designer Mark Bumgarner, why couldn’t you?
Martine Cajucom

Martine Cajucom sizzles as she flaunted her flawlessly toned assets in a sheer lace gown she designed herself as she hit up a party with Jessica Wilson. The fabric flowed like fluid, while hugging her hourglass shape, while the design exuded a sense of softness and elegance. This is a winner for relaxed gals who don’t want to look too “done.” A tip that we can’t stress enough when wearing sheer outfits is to pick the right lingerie—this is not the time to show off your neon bras, honey.
Janella Salvador

Ready to take on SS16’s big, romantic, and feminine mood, but not quite sure where to start? Then take inspiration from young star Janella Salvador who looked every inch the sweetheart as she entered the Kia Theatre for the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival in a rose quartz Jo Rubio gown that was anything but boring. Play it up and ease yourself into the throng by creating a feminine impression with puffball sleeves, loose pleats, and ruffled collars. Easy-peasy!
Andi Manzano
One of my favorite photos of all time ❤ @oliviamreyes Photo by @bjpascual for @lofficielmanila.

Not a gal who loves the barrage of frills, ruffles, and flounces? You may want to reconsider. Take your eyes off baby Olivia for a moment and appreciate this soft, dusky blue Vania Romoff triple-tiered ruffle (which reminds us of the traditional traje de flamenca) gown worn by Andi Manzano. It reminds us that frilly details are key this season. Que linda! Don’t underestimate the power of contemporary cascading ruffles to add depth to monochromatic pieces. Go ruffly or go home!
Erich Gonzales

Erich Gonzales just pulled out the one of the silhouette-lengthening tricks from the stylebook. Martin Bautista’s high-slit “dress,” which is actually a one-piece swimsuit and a separate skirt, elongated her entire lean and slender frame. Frontal slits have enough slimming and dramatic powers on their own but if you want to ramp it even further, opt for pieces with cut-outs to draw the eye up and make you look sky-high.
Liza Soberano

Liza Soberano dominated the stage in a bold and dramatic Val Taguba mermaid dress that hugs her in all the right places—a true Cinderella-like moment for this young lady as she celebrated her 18th birthday. Her soft locks and strong eyebrows complete the picture. Since it’s the Year of the Red Monkey, why not experiment with a huge array of red hues like crimson, scarlet, and burgundy to bring yourself an extra ounce of good luck?
