Brumann at Globe
In celebration of his 76th birthday, Hans Brumann will open the exhibition, “Variations in Mother of Pearl,” on Aug. 10 at the Globe Gallery.
Brumann, a Swiss who has been a resident in Manila for over four decades, bears the name that has become synonymous with the fine jewelry. His works are triggered by the qualities of his jewelry: exquisite, restrained, minimalist, pared-down and reservedly elegant.
The exhibit, organized by the Hiraya Gallery, will run until Sept. 1.

“Flowers Abloom,” a solo exhibition of paintings by Elizabeth Payte, opens Aug. 10 at ArtistSpace, Ayala Museum
Her love for anything Victorian inspires her to paint flower designs on various objects, including Hermès bags. Show will run until Aug. 23.

‘Discomfort Room’
“Discomfort Room” group exhibit is ongoing at District Gallery at Arts Above building in Quezon City.
The experimental group show discusses mental health illnesses and the stigma attached to it. It is an experiential acceptance—that these problems exist within our material plane of existence, manifesting in our daily lives like broken furniture inside our own homes.
