The Pasinaya Open House Festival held last weekend at the Cultural Center of the Philippines drew a record number of visitors—85,450 compared to last year’s 63,000.

The annual event, now on its 14th year, saw visitors enjoying and taking advantage of the festival’s “see-all-you-can” and “pay-what-you-can” scheme.

In a Facebook post, CCP vice president and artistic director Cris Millado described this year’s Pasinaya as “all in a day’s work.”

“A full house at the CCP Main Theater capped this year’s Pasinaya. [A total of] 4,000 artists participated with a record number of participants from the regions,” he said.

Joining them were resident companies and guest artists of the CCP. There were film screenings, mini workshops, visual arts exhibitions, an artists’ market, and museum hopping.

Millado said the success of the two-day event was “a resounding opening salvo for the February heARTS month. Pusuan ang Sining! Put a heart in the arts!”
