The stars of the phenomenal rom-com “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” trilogy were discussing with the media the evolving relationship of Lara Jean Covey (Lana) and Peter Kavinsky (Noah). In the much-awaited sequel “To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You,” Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky’s relationship goes from pretend to real. They went on actual dates, they made out—and talked about sex, and they had disagreements. It was cute!

Then came the handsome piano player John Ambrose McClaren (Jordan Fisher), one of the recipients of Lara Jean’s love letters.

He tried to win over Lara Jean’s heart and the internet fell head over heels. And we think even Noah, the internet’s boyfriend, was smitten.

(“I think it’s quite, quite, quite possible that John Ambrose is right for Lara Jean and Lara Jean is right for John Ambrose . . . They can have something very powerful,” he said.)

Love triangle aside, “P.S. I Still Love You” also explored the teenage couple’s relationship after their supposed happy ending.

“Over the course of the film [Lara Jean and Peter] go from kind of just wanting to never break each other’s hearts remain in the honeymoon phase to actually growing beyond that and facing problems together, overcoming those problems, even at the point of heartbreak,” said Noah.

The honeymoon phase was bound to end, said Lana, and that was okay for her.

“I’m happy their dynamic does change a little bit, because it means that they’re, they’re working through stuff and they’re learning mistakes,” she said.

The on-screen couple were supposed to meet their Filipino fans last Valentine’s Day, but the trip was cancelled as a precaution against the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.

But Lana still wanted to tell her Filipino fans one thing: “If you got one thing out of this movie, or out of these movies. I hope that it’s believing in love, and believing that you are more than capable of giving and receiving it if you’re open to it.
