Coleen Garcia cherishes her journey of giving birth to her baby Amari, and encourages fans and viewers to value the hardships that mothers go through.

The actress looked back at the time when she gave birth to son Amari via water birth and spoke about the process, as per her Instagram post today, Dec. 13.

“Shared a video of my home water birth on our channel the other night (link in bio) and woke up to over 1M views today,” she stated, referring to her latest YouTube vlog. The step-by-step process of the water birth was featured in the family’s vlog, The Crawfords, posted on Dec. 11.

Garcia said she loves to revisit that time when she was giving birth for the first time with the help of husband Billy Crawford and mom Maripaz Ortega.

“Just wanna express how thankful and blessed I am to have had God’s strength, guidance, assurance, and presence over me that day (and every day!) And I’m also so grateful for you, love @billycrawford,” the actress said. “I had a great team and was surrounded by the best support system, including my mom @maripazortega, who (apart from Billy) was the first person to encourage me, support me, and make me believe that I could do it.”

She then referred to the hardships that mothers go through, particularly through pregnancy, all the way to taking care of the needs of their children as they grow up.

“If you ever get to watch the video, I hope it reminds you of your mom,” she said. “It’s not easy, guys. No mother is perfect, but every mom has experienced pain, love, and sacrifice. Giving birth was both hard and fulfilling, but not as much as actually being a mother.”

Garcia thinks that being pregnant was already life-changing, but the past three months for her have been even more transformative, to say the least.

“Suddenly a lot of the things that used to matter so much to me seem small and trivial to me now compared to what’s right in front of me, also since this pandemic has taught us that happiness and peace are truly within arm’s reach,” she explained. “It’s a completely different life now—a much better, fuller one—and I’m so soooo blessed to be living it.” JB
