Being in a tropical country, Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes appreciates the abundance of fruits and wants his daughter Zia to enjoy them too.

Dantes, with wife Marian Rivera, showed how they made eating fruits more fun in an Instagram video yesterday, Dec. 30. While eating from a bowl of fruits, the trio sang and danced to Ryan Cayabyab’s “Prutas Pilipinas.”

The couple chose to sing and dance while eating so that 5-year-old Zia could appreciate the importance of nutritious fruits to the body.

“Teaching our kids about healthy food — lalo na ang mga prutas na (especially fruits which are) locally produced, will not only deepen their appreciation of a healthy lifestyle, but also the rich resources of the country and the need to be of help in promoting and sustaining our Filipino farmers’ livelihood,” he stressed.

Dantes, it can be deduced, enjoyed the short video he posted.

“So, heto ang resulta ng aming teaching-while-performing dessert treat. Dahil sobrang enjoy, pasok na pasok ang one-take 3-cam set up! Haha!”
