The travel preparation for Camiguin was surprisingly hassle-free. I’ve heard from friends the inconvenience of securing so many documents before traveling to a domestic destination, but the predeparture requirements for Camiguin were almost paperless.
There were only three requirements: the Clean Camiguin QR code and health declaration form, which can be accessed through cleancamiguinqr.com, and hotel booking confirmation. I uploaded my ID and vaccination card on the site and in a few seconds I had my QR code. I presented the personal contact tracing log at the airport and upon entry and exit at establishments around Camiguin.
A booking confirmation from the accommodation was also required. Nouveau Resort immediately sent the confirmation, as well as reminders to secure the necessary QR code and health form.
I presented my QR code and my vaccination card during check-in at Terminal 3, and again at the arrivals building of the recently upgraded Camiguin airport. After about 20 minutes of waiting for my turn at the documents verification counter, I was off to paradise.
