Actress and yoga teacher Maxene Magalona is feeling very grateful to God for protecting her while she rode a scooter for the very first time and traveled to Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.

“Thank You God for keeping me safe on my scooter the entire time that I’ve been here! I was honestly really scared during the first few days because it was my first time driving a scooter in my life!” she said via her Instagram page last Friday, July 16, showing photos and a short video.

Magalona feels “a lot safer and more protected than ever” because she sincerely believes that she is “divinely guided.”

“I believe that God + my guardian angels and spirit guides are all watching over me especially when I open my eyes and heart, look around and get to witness the beauty that unfolds right before my very eyes everyday,” she said.

Magalona shared that she has chosen “faith over fear” every time she feels scared, because for her, it feels better in her “mind, body and soul to be faithful rather than fearful,” stressing that “having faith is fun.”

Last July 4, Magalona triumphantly traveled to Canggu, also in Indonesia, for 45 minutes using a scooter.

“Just want to give a shout-out to God for keeping me safe and protected during my first ever trip to Canggu on my scooter,” she said. “It usually takes 45 [minutes] to get there from where I stay in Ubud and it’s been one of my goals to be able to overcome my fear and drive myself out of town instead of booking a taxi,” she said.

Ubud is located at the uplands of Bali, Indonesia, and is known as a center for traditional crafts and dance, while Canggu is a resort village surrounded by terraced rice paddies and widely known for its beaches. JB
